Designing Hotel Bars and Lounges: Inspirational Images
We may be called Office Image, but our design and refurbishment skills stretch much further than the standard desk and swivel chair. Our expert designers have experience creating beautiful and functional designs for restaurants, shops, bars and hotels too.
Do you wonder where we get our design inspiration from? Well, here are some stunning images of inspirational design in hotel bars and lounges from around the world. We’re sure they’ll get your creative juices flowing.
The Beaufort Bar at The Savoy, London
The Beaufort Bar at The Savoy has been named as the best international hotel bar in the world by Tales of the Cocktail 2015. And if the drinks are as good as the décor we’d understand why. We love the combination of high-level bar stools and low, more relaxed armchairs. Plus, who wouldn’t want a backlit bar?
The Cocktail Lounge at The Zetter Townhouse, London
Warm and inviting with leather upholstered Chesterfield wingback chairs, Persian rugs and soft key lighting, this lounge bar couldn’t be more welcoming. What guests wouldn’t want to curl up by the fire with a good glass of wine or a whisky?
The Northall Bar at the Corinthia Hotel, London
In contrast to the above, the Northall Bar at the Corinthia utilises cool and calming colours to create an ultra-modern, fresh bar. If you have a bar, why not mirror the back wall like this? Not only will it appear that there’s a lot more space (and booze), it will also reflect plenty of light from any statement lighting placed in front.
Hansom Lounge at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, London
Once an old taxi rank, this hotel lobby restaurant and bar now makes the ideal place to enjoy a drink amongst seriously stunning interior architecture.
Dandelyan at the Mondrian, London
Awarded best overall bar at the Restaurant and Bar Design Awards 2015, as well as best UK bar and best bar or restaurant in a hotel, this is an unusual bar to draw inspiration from. Combining jewel tones with padded furniture, this is a sumptuous bar lounge where you can take in spectacular views.
Lobby Bar at the Ace Hotel, London
For something a little more urban and informal, take a look at Lobby Bar at the quirky Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. With staggered hanging baskets above the circular window filled backdrop, this bar offers a low key alternative spot for a drink or two.
Peg and Patriot at the Town Hall Hotel, London
Looking for ideas for a combined bar and restaurant space? Then you’ll love Peg and Patriot at the Town Hall Hotel. With soft muted grey tones, subway tiles and exposed wire pendant lighting, it shows how old and new can merge to create a stylish and inviting open-plan space.
Coburg Bar at the Connaught, London
Awarded best bar in Mayfair in the Mayfair Awards 2015, this hotel combines stunning original ceiling mouldings and crystal clear liquor display cabinets, with industrial-style, chain draped lights and pops of colourful velvet.
Artesian at the Langham Hotel, London
Another award-winning hotel bar, Artesian has been named the world’s best bar for the 4th consecutive year by The World’s 50 Best Bars 2015. Georgian mouldings, purple, fanned leather sofas, oversized dark chandeliers and pagoda styled bar shelves all combine here in a mishmash of design that simply works.
M Bar at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong
Optimising a similar colour pallet, but a completely different style, is the futuristic M Bar at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Hong Kong. This modern hotel bar makes the most of its elevated position with floor to ceiling windows lining its walls and a light up bar attracting the coolest of cats.
